Yes, the name of this app is a pun. I was introduced to portaportal in the Technology class during my M Ed Program. I don't update it as often as I should, but it is an interesting tool to have at your disposal. It's also one I think would be great for homeschooling parents to use since you can allow other people to accesss your portal as guests, adding to the spirit of sharing information and educational resources which already strongly exists within the homeschooling community. When browsing through these links, please note that some of the pages may have content that you do not want your children to see...i.e. nude paintings or the like. Having a portaportal as your home page is also helpful if you do not want the kids navigating through the internet search engines.
